When approached in the right way, strength training can actually be the pathway to feeling safe and grounded in your body. It has been for me.
A smart strength training program is *not* aggressive, does *not* require you to push through pain, and is *not* a recipe for injury or a pain flare.
I’d argue this is the case for “normal” connective tissue folks, and even more important for Bendy people!
“Strength training” isn’t scary. It presents external load to a body desperately trying to feel contained and understand its edges.
External load is the sensory input that says “here you are. You have a body and you’re safe in it. You can relax.”
