Ruka Therapy

Ruka Therapy RUKA Therapy is based on a cohesion of different modalities to balance our your KA and align body and mind.
(1)

RUKA Therapy is my signature blend of advanced clinical bodywork modalities, developed over 25 years to support both soft-tissue function and nervous system regulation. In Russian RUKA means hand, the KA within it refers to our ancient energy of soul and vitality which has its own consciousness and responds to our conscious intent.

Subtle fascial restrictions reveal more than you think. These early signs matter.

🌿 Understanding Subtle Somatic Symptoms

The body often shows early signs of stress through small but consistent patterns:

• Jaw tension in the morning
• Elevated or tight shoulders
• Shallow breathing
• Abdominal bracing
• Low-grade headaches
• Hip or pelvic guarding

These shifts reflect sympathetic activation and increasing fascial tension.
Left unaddressed, they can progress into more persistent pain or movement limitations.

Myofascial and nervous-system-focused therapy helps the body move into a parasympathetic state, where fascia softens and breathing mechanics improve.
In this regulated state, deep tissue work becomes significantly more effective because the body is receptive rather than protective.

✨ Subtle symptoms are early indicators—and highly responsive to targeted therapeutic intervention. ✨

If you’re noticing these patterns, you’re welcome to book an appointment or reach out.

I’ve been working to expand my skills in Myofascial Release (MFR) and myofascial massage, and I’ve seen positive changes in many clients. While pain relief tends to show up a few days after treatment, many report lasting benefits, such as improved movement and less discomfort during exercise. If you're interested in exploring a new approach to pain relief, I’d be happy to discuss how MFR may help.

I’m taking advantage of the post-hurricane downtime to attend another Myofascial Release workshop. I’ll be heading to Cape Cod for John Barnes’ Fascial Pelvis training. I’m excited about this opportunity to deepen my skills, learn more about the technique and philosophy behind it, and share the experience with friends and colleagues.

I’m especially excited to bring fresh techniques back to my clients and enhance their experience. Please take a moment to read this very interesting article on fascial release.

If you ever wonder how does it feels like to experience Myofascial Release, read it here. We also have the benefits that you can get from it.

Dear friends and clients!

Wow! What a horrific event we have suffered and will continue to suffer for an unknown period of time. I would like to report that I am ok and so is my family and my house. I so hope that ALL of you are safe and sound as well.

The office and the area has not sustained any damage, has power but NOT water. The chiropractic side is open some hours also.

I do not know and cannot predict if this is a good time to resume any semblance of my services, but I am very happy to open my doors to anyone needing bodywork at this time. We are all using our bodies extra hard now and if there’s a way I can support your wellness I am happy to do so. Of course given that you can travel safely and not too far.

I will offer 50% off services for anyone who needs this discount. Please let me know at time of booking♥️🙏

With a heavy heart for the losses sustained, I wish for everyone health, safety and resilience at this crisis moment.
