In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to support social distancing efforts, the Asheville School of Massage and Yoga has decided to suspend all classes and student clinics temporarily. 🌱
We made this decision in respect of guidelines for wellness and responsibility laid out by the CDC, the North Carolina Governor, and professional massage organizations. The wellness of our students and the health of our greater community is in the forefront of our decision. 🌱
We are taking time to reflect and observe the situation as it emerges. We will be back in touch as we know more about the return of our class and clinic schedules. We are holding the highest hope that choosing voluntary distancing in our communities will diminish the problems and spread of COVID-19. 🌱
In the meantime, our administrative staff will be available by phone and email to support current students.
Additionally, If you are a community member or prospective student and we can be of assistance to you, please let us know. We are working remotely and will get back to you: 828-252-7377 or Info @ ashevillemassageschool.org 🌱

Thank you for your patience and compassion as we navigate the evolving situation we all face together. 🌱

Please take good care of yourselves. Practice social distancing if possible (staying home when you can, keeping a 6 foot distance when out in public). Have good hygiene. (As per protocol, as we must certainly put this in all communication with everyone.)πŸ’¦ Don't forget to wash your hands! Call and check on your people or people who may not have support. 🌱

We will continue to be present on social media with updates as we have them. In the meantime we will also try to post self care, community and internet resources, and positive content to stay connected.

πŸ’šWe are all in this together. Let's be good community, even if we are doing it remotely! πŸ’š
Be well πŸ™
With love, the ASMY Family

"I walked in the room: there were no desks, no chairs, no limitations, just a feeling of endless possibilities. I knew the moment I looked around the circle of wonderful beings, that I was in the right place. I had chosen this school, for their focus on mind and bodywork. Little did I know that, I was to gain so much more than mere facts about the body. My world had changed, I was quickly understanding so much about myself, when my thoughts were that massage school was about others. I felt the subtle changes in my body. Every movement, every lift of joy, was a conscious, filling feeling. I had never received consistent bodywork before, this alone encouraged my strong connection to my sense of self, and my worth. The teachers are compassionate, knowledgeable, inspiring beings, and all so individual. They truly do an amazing job to help you really grasp what you are learning, through your experience of the work you give and receive. From bones to subtle body, sinking deeper with knowledge of anatomy, and compassion through psychology, you become aware what your intentions are, and how to understand the lives of others. Recognizing how everyone is the same. We all have a pericardium, no matter what our life paths have been, we come down to the same basic structure. When the layer of energy anatomy opens you up, you become intuitive to the subtleness of one another. Throughout the course you have yoga, and these lessons stuck with me ever since. I have never felt so strong. It is amazing, learning my own independence and strength within myself, manifested physically, through yoga and bodywork. The breaths you take through life, regardless of the position you're in, the breath can carry you through, and reconnect you to the world around you. These lessons pertain to all aspects in my life, especially now. I sat at graduation, looking around the circle at all those beautiful individuals, every one blossomed together over 6 months. We made it. My my mind filled with knowledge, my heart humbly radiating love. This was the best decision I have made for myself. I am whole, I am alive. I am eternally grateful for the teachers, staff and my classmates, for helping me uncover my potential. Thank you.”

Making Chai!!
✨ β˜•οΈ ✨
Fresh Ginger, Cardamom Seed, Black Pepper, and Ginger are brewed with very fine ground organic black tea and then the mix is strained and mixed with milk. This tea is wonderful for digestion and one of the most popular hot beverages in the world. We added Turkish saffron to ours for a special treat. It’s always a fun class when Herbalist Bill Chioffi, comes to guest teach. Thanks Bill for coming to share this perfectly cozy beverage on a winter day. ❄️ πŸ™
