If you suffer a mild or first-degree burn, the affected area may swell or turn red. You can treat these burns at home with simple first aid steps:

Some of Mission Children's youngest patients would like to wish you a Happy Halloween! 🎃

Celebrating Spooky Season in our Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is one of our favorite traditions!

Special thanks to Preemies of the Carolinas for crafting and donating all the costumes, along with Judy Miranda with Family Support Network of WNC, who organized and hosted the event. We are also grateful to our incredible nursing teams who dressed our tiny patients for the occasion and got all the families in our care in the spirit of the season!

NOTE: Please remember you should always place your little ones on their backs to sleep, with nothing else in the crib. These babies were monitored closely by our skilled nursing team for their first baby celebrity photo shoot.

💬Share in the comments below your favorite baby costumes from this year's Halloween collection! 👻
