Maeve has been teaching yoga since 2011 and is continuously inspired by the joy and mystery of the practice.

She received her yoga teacher training from David Nelson and Eric Shaw at Yoga Garden, San Francisco and is thrilled to be sharing her passion for this beautiful therapeutic art form with others. Maeve strives to offer a path for her students to become more deeply in touch with their powerful inner strength and tap into their true source of well being. Her unique Hatha Flow style offers vigorous sequences that harmonize movement with breath, bring awareness to alignment, and provide a safe space where students can relax into their natural state of being.

What has your inner dialogue been like lately? Have you been “shoulding” yourself????

When we “should” ourselves our nervous system often responds as if it is under threat in the form of being shamed.

Shame is an incredibly powerful emotional experience that can send our nervous system in freeze mode, and/or shutdown states of dissociation or collapse.

Shutting ourself down with shoulds keeps us in cycles of disempowerment and shame spirals.

Changing the language of our inner dialogue with just one word can shift our internal state and help us to create a new cycle in which we feel more empowered and more resourced in our nervous system.

Some answers are only found in the dark.

Winter provides us with an opportunity to go within.
And rest in our own rich darkness.

A place where many gifts are presented and received.

If we are willing to give ourselves this time and space.
We will come to know ourselves on layers & levels we have not known previously… And recognize a support system within ourselves that has been waiting for us to connect with it.

When we offer ourselves time for spacious rest...
Inevitably, we develop more self trust,
A more resourced nervous system,
courage, & resilience
for...

Our office just experienced a major upgrade!
💫 I am excited to be sharing the space with my dear cousin and colleague, who happens to have quite a talent for creating spaces that feel spacious, alive, and cozy all at the same time. I am delighted to continue sharing space with as well, who sprinkles wise, loving, magic dust wherever he goes. We are so lucky to have artwork made by Gota’s partner, Ainhoa and my aunt, .

I just hosted my first gathering in the space and it was W O N D E R F U L. We raised $350 to donate to . Stay tuned for more offerings being held in this lovely space and info about an exciting retreat I’m co-leading with of on Ocracoke Island in May! More info dropping on that this week!

Also, for the new year I am opening up space to take several new 1:1 therapy clients. Feel free to message me if interested. I take BCBS and will soon be paneled with Aetna.

Grief and Joy, light and dark do not exist without each other. I invite you to feel into this yourself on Saturday, December 28th, 2:30-6pm in person at my gathering space in North Avl. Space will be held for you to rest into your Inner Well - through gentle movement, sharing, art making (zero experience needed), journaling, and deep rest.

The liminal time of late December can feel challenging for many of us. I am offering a space for you feel whatever you are feeling, among others in community with a variety of optional modalities/resources to support you in that process. This will be a small group, no more than 8 ppl. All props, art supplies, hot tea and snacks provided. Bring a journal if you have one. 🕸️💙
