We are an insurance-based nutrition counseling practice that provides virtual & in-person options. Nutritious Thoughts offers virtual and in-person sessions to individuals ages 5 and up. We have office locations in Asheville, Hendersonville, and Boone, NC, and also service all of North Carolina virtually. Have you heard of Spoon Theory? 🥄

Spoon Theory is a helpful metaphor often used by individuals with chronic illnesses to describe their daily energy limits. “Spoons” represent the amount of energy it takes to complete tasks throughout the day.

For example, going to the grocery store might cost three spoons, while cooking a meal could take five. When energy is limited, managing those spoons can feel stressful and overwhelming.
