"Flotation-REST shows promise: in a clinical trial of 68 people hospitalized for anorexia nervosa who were randomly assigned to the therapy or a placebo, Khalsa’s team found that six months after treatment, those who received therapy reported less body dissatisfaction than those who did not. The researchers have also created a version of this therapy for anxiety and depression. In early-stage clinical trials, this intervention appeared to reduce the symptoms of those disorders. Now they are investigating whether this therapy might also benefit people with amphetamine use disorder." - Scientific American
