A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Halloween! We loved seeing all the creative costumes, smiling faces, and community spirit. We’re grateful for the support from local nonprofit, Young Struggle to help us lift our community!

Community is therapy and we’re endlessly grateful for all of you (& your dance moves). 💜

Our very first event happened just one month after Hurricane Helene, and even then, we were determined to show that social justice and wellness looks like community care, showing up, creating joy, and holding space for one another. Rebel Counseling has only been open for a year, but we’re proud to keep proving that healing doesn’t just happen in the therapy room, it happens together.

We’re getting ready for the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat and sign-ups are officially open!

We're so excited to bring back this amazing event! After Hurricane Helene, we wanted to help bring Halloween fun during our new "normal". Last year, over 200 kids came out, more than 200 costumes were given away, and hundreds of clothing, food, and family supply donations were handed out.

It was such a good time seeing the community come together and this year we’re back and bigger than ever. If you or your organization want to decorate a trunk, host a game, or be part of the event in any way, fill out the sign-up form found in the comments!

K-Pop Demon Hunters has come up in several sessions recently not just because the soundtrack is catchy.

Kids relate to the idea of battling unseen monsters and it helps start conversations about feelings like anxiety or pressure. Giving those feelings a shape or story can make them easier to understand and name. Sometimes it is simpler to talk about an inner demon when it has dance moves and its own style.

This post shares ways to use that idea to support emotional literacy.
