Good luck to the Robbinsville Black Knights and the Cherokee Lady Braves as they play for the NC High School Women Basketball State Championships at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem. Robbinsville takes on Wilson Prep Academy today at 2:30 p.m. for the 1A title. Tomorrow, Cherokee plays for its 3rd consecutive 2A state title in a game against Pamlico County. Tipoff is 5 p.m.

Congratulations to the four area teams playing in the N.C. High School Athletic Association's Western Regional Women's Basketball Championships at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory. Rivals Andrews and Robbinsville tip off at 3 p.m. today for the 1A title, followed by Pisgah playing at 6 p.m. for the 4A title. Cherokee plays for the 2A title at 1 p.m. Saturday. Winning teams advance to the NCHSAA State Championships on March 11-14 in Winston-Salem. Play hard, play safe, and good luck to all!
