Have a great Thursday! I’m trying not to think about how old I am. As my great grandson said last year when he realized I was 75, BeBe did you start at one?

I was privileged to hear Bill teach for several years.

When we steward a burning heart of affection for the Lord, there’s a continuous stream of His Presence in our lives. As we continually turn our heart towards His face, we will find ourselves burning for Him in ways that go beyond works or performance. What we set our affection on impacts every part of our lives.

Hello readers. I have decided not to publish my second Remmie book. I' m not writing right now. I'm helping with my 11 month old great grandson. I believe this is where I am needed at this time. Thank you all for your support. I appreciate all of you.

Remmie, book two is still in the hatching jacket, so to speak. The book is complete and ready for a publisher...therein lies the problem. I am actively seeking a publisher that likes Remmie as much as I do, and hopefully as much as you do.

The second book picks up after Remmie and JD are married and living near Atlanta. JD is pastoring a church and Remmie is on staff at a trauma center.

JD returns from a brief mission trip to Appalachia with a new vision for their future, but will Remmie agree? Will she put her career on hold again and travel with her husband to a remote mountain community in Kentucky?

This book has lots of adventure of the outdoor variety, and there are casualties... ? ?

Sarah and Stuart from the first book are in book two, also. If you remember Sarah's quick wit and tongue, you'll be amazed at the way she handles a French chef. Never under estimate a little ole river woman. Remmie's BFF, Jesse is back and there are new characters too.

Pray that I find a publisher who will do as good as WestBow did with the first book. If only they would give me great price, I would love for them to publish book two. Pray please.

As some of you know I write on a Christian web-site, Faithwriters.com. Currently, I am in level three, Advanced. Each week we are given a topic, the number of words and one week to write an article. The articles are judged by professional editors and there are winners each week. I placed first in my level this week with a story entitled, Desensitization. If you want to read it simply go to the web-site and search for authors by name, when my name comes up click and everything I've written will come up. The first article will be the most recent. Let me hear from you.

For all of you who are asking about book two, I finished the story last year, but I am just now doing rewrites and changes with my editor in Dothan. It is more action packed than the first one, but God is doing a lot of the action. Remmie, JD, Jessie and a newcomer find themselves caught up in a human trafficking ring. Shots are fired and yes someone dies. All this happens in a remote area of the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky.

Sarah has a ruckus with a French Chef. She fails to follow orders and gets herself smack dab in the middle of a show down with the human traffickers. You know Sarah, she's a force to be reckoned with.

I believe you are going to like this one as much as the first. I do. I haven't settled on a title, but the working title is Remmie, and the Hidden Clan.

I hope to get it in print this year, but if not very early next year. Talk it up for me. And remember if you haven't given the first book a review on Amazon, you can still do it and believe me it helps a lot. Thanks and many blessings.

First, I would like to wish everyone a Blessed Easter. After Easter comes Mother's Day on May 11th. I have a great idea for a Mother's Day gift! Yes, you guessed it! Remmie, a Southern Heiress is available at Barnes and Noble in Dothan(other locations will get it upon request) and at the Petal Pusher in Ashford. I have copies if you want to contact me.

Teaser from back cover: Having spent all her life in foster care, Remmie had every reason to be angry. Life had not been kind to the lovely auburn haired girl. At age eleven her life changed forever when she was adopted by a wealthy doctor and his wife. The Remington's gave their new daughter every advantage life could offer. They also shared their faith in and their love of God with her.

Remmie pursued a medical career at age 19 and finished two years ahead of schedule. She thought a busy career as a trauma surgeon would keep her mind off her past. That didn't happen.

Although Remmie's desire to know who she is takes her on a journey far from her home, she remains true to her self, true to God, but more than that , she learns what forgiveness truly is.

Part Six, Mary's Story

I had been in Joseph's house for two months when a decree went out that everyone had to go to the city of their birth and register. Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem and I made the decision to go with him. My mother wanted me to stay in the village near her, but I had this overwhelming feeling that I should go with my husband.

It was a few days journey and I grew very tired. Joseph stopped often so I could rest. At night we camped near other travelers who were also going to and fro to be registered. Everyone who saw me said I looked ready to deliver. Joseph and I grew concerned. Here we were on this journey and ill prepared for the birth of God's Son.

Bethlehem was filled with people and animals. The streets were dusty and loud. Joseph went from inn to inn, but the answer was always the same, they had no room for us. Frantic Joseph pulled an inn-keeper aside and I saw him motion in my direction. The man pointed toward a straw covered path.

Joseph hurried to lead the donkey with me on his back down the path. At the end were three stalls for animals. The middle stall was empty and filled with fresh straw and an empty feeding trough.

As soon as I was off the donkey's back, I knew what I was feeling wasn't all weariness from the travel. I knew I was about the give birth to the Son of God.

Part Five Mary's Story.
Joesph was shocked when my father confronted him with my condition. His eyes pleaded with me for answers, but all I could say is, trust the Lord, Joseph and I have not betrayed you or God. He went away to seek the Lord about how to handle this difficult situation.

Time stood still as I waited to hear from him. When the knock came at the door I jumped to my feet in anticipation. Father opened the door and there stood Joseph with a completely different look on his face. His eyes were kind and her blurted out, "I will take Mary for my wife. I have heard from the Lord."

My father was so anxious he finalized my betrothal plans right then. I would be moving to Joseph's house very soon. When we were finally allowed a moment alone, Joseph told me how an angel came and told him about the child I carried. He confirmed his love for me and promised to take care of me and the child.

This is taken from a play I wrote in 2005. To see the first four segments go to my FB page. I will complete the story here over the next two weeks.

Today my youngest child is 40. Heath is such a blessing to me as are this brother and sister. I feel bad that terrorism marked his birthday some 12 years ago.

I worked at New Freedom Church and was on my way to work when I heard the first plane had hit. The only TV at church was in an upstairs suite used for visiting ministers. All of the staff that was in that day huddled around that television to watch in horror as our country was brutally attacked.

The memories are still vivid. So many good Americans died that day as a result of hate. Let's bind together today in love and pray for those who don't understand Love in its purest form...God's love.

Well, the ladies at LIFE Church know how to treat visitors. I felt like a queen. They gave me a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers including orange roses. I sold some books and shared my heart and my faith. God is good. Thanks for all the prayers and support you give me. Looking forward to getting book two ready for print. My editor in Dothan and I will start work on the 10th or 11th of Sept.

I am now writing for an on-line magazine for women called faithhopeandlovemag. My first devotion was published today. It's called The Honor System. I wrote this earlier this year when Loran Richardson had spoken at Sunday service at NFC. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I am also writing on the Advanced Level for Faithwriters weekly challenges. I placed first in level two and received an Editors Choice nod. I'm learning a lot by taking on-line courses in writing.

Remember, you are never too old to fulfill your dreams. God uses all ages to get His work done.
