January Birth Café topic: Nourishment ☕🌿

How are we fed — in body, heart, and community — during pregnancy and postpartum?

This month’s conversation will be guided by Ellen Hufft of Beatha Doula Services, and held in the spirit of shared wisdom and gentle exploration.

All are welcome. Come as you are.

January’s Birth Café conversations will center on Nourishment —
not just what we eat, but how we are fed, held, and sustained through the seasons of preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum.

This month’s conversation will be gently guided by Ellen Hufft, life doula and founder of Beatha Doula Services.

Together, we’ll explore nourishment in its many forms:
✨ food and body wisdom
✨ rest and rhythms
✨ emotional and relational support
✨ what truly fills our cups during times of transition

As always, Birth Café is a space for conversation, curiosity, and shared wisdom — not lectures or prescriptions.

☕ All are welcome — whether you’re preconception, pregnant, postpartum, or simply hoping to be.

As we begin planning ahead for 2026, we’re opening the circle wider.

We’re gathering speakers, facilitators, and topic ideas for future Birth Café gatherings — and we’re especially interested in conversations that feel timely, thoughtful, and community-rooted.

What questions are you sitting with lately?

What wisdom feels ready to be shared?

If there’s a topic, practice, or perspective you’d love to bring into the café space, we’d love to hear from you.

📩 Reach out via DM to begin the conversation.

You care about birth.
You care about community.
And you believe some of the most important learning happens through conversation.

If this resonates, you might be exactly who we’re hoping to connect with.

We’re welcoming new Birth Café facilitators to help hold warm, inclusive, trauma-informed spaces for birthing people and families in Southern Oregon.

This isn’t about lecturing or having all the answers — it’s about presence, curiosity, and care.

If you feel a quiet yes stirring, we’d love to start a conversation.
📩 Send us a DM.

🌱 Help Shape Birth Café 2026 🌱

As we begin looking ahead to the coming year, we’re opening the conversation and inviting our wider community to help shape what Birth Café becomes next.

Birth Café isn’t about lectures or agendas — it’s about gathering around a table, sharing wisdom, asking real questions, and exploring pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting together.

We’re currently welcoming:
✨ topic ideas
✨ guest speakers
✨ facilitators
✨ community voices

If there’s a conversation you feel called to hold…
a practice you’d love to share…
or a topic you wish had more space…
We’d love to hear from you.

📩 Send us a DM or reach out to start a conversation.

✨ We’re Growing Our Birth Café Team ✨

The Birthing Community of Southern Oregon is opening space for additional Birth Café facilitators to join our team in the coming year.

Birth Café facilitators help hold warm, welcoming spaces for expectant and new parents — spaces rooted in respect, curiosity, and community care.

We’re especially interested in connecting with people who bring:
• a grounded, inclusive presence
• experience in birth, postpartum, or community care
• a desire to facilitate (not teach or lecture)
• a heart for creating trauma-informed, welcoming spaces

This role is ideal for doulas, midwives, lactation support folks, educators, and community caregivers who value connection as much as information.

If you feel a quiet yes stirring — or know someone who might — we’d love to hear from you.

📩 Send us a DM to start a conversation.
