We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dicky Martin. To our community, “The Voice of the Tomcats” was the heartbeat of local high school athletics. A true and rare talent behind the microphone. But what most don’t know, to us, he was the long time chairman of our board of directors; instrumental in the building of new stations, purchasing of new trucks, and the building of what he frequently termed, “the best EMS service in the country!”, in true Dicky fashion! We will truly miss his dedication, and leadership. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, his many friends, and Tomcat Nation. Godspeed Sir.

Today’s Employee Profile is EMT Ethan Adkins!
Ethan obtained his EMT in 2023, and spent time at Elliott County EMS before joining us last year. He is a graduate of Elliott County High school.
Ethan enjoys playing his guitar, and riding motorcycles! While early in his EMS career, Ethan has already proven to be a great employee, coworker, and practitioner. He hopes to gain his Advanced EMT, and eventually his Paramedic license in the near future. Ethan, thanks for all you do! Boyd County is lucky to have you!
