We are a family owned and operated funeral home serving Boyd and Greenup county since 2002 and offer funeral services and memorial services for all faiths. GENERAL PRICE LIST
Effective Date: September 1, 2024
The goods and services listed below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire, however, all arrangements will include a charge for our basic service and overhead. If legal or other requirements compel the purchase of an item or service it will be detailed in writing on the Statement of Goods and Services.

• PROFESSIONAL SERVICE PACKAGES
A. Traditional Service - 2 hour one evening visitation, funeral services
at the funeral home, chapel, church, or other facility. Services
of funeral director and staff, embalming, other preparation,
committal service, acknowledgment cards, register, and memorials. $ 5750.00

B. One Day Service - 2 hour visitation, same day as services at gravesite
or cemetery chapel. Services of funeral director and staff,
embalming, other preparation, and service memorials. $ 5240.00

C. Contemporary Service - 2 hour one evening visitation, funeral service
at graveside or cemetery chapel. Register book and memorials. $ 5040.00

D. Economical Services - Graveside or cemetery chapel service with no
visitation. (Embalming, other preparation included). $ 4690.00

• SELECTED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Services of Funeral Director and Staff $ 3250.00
Our charge includes necessary arrangements, counseling, recording vital statistics,
securing and filing necessary documents and permits, notices and coordinating
service plans. This fee will be added to the total cost of itemized arrangements
but is included in the professional service packages above. Embalming $ 1750.00
Except in certain cases embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be
necessary in the selection of certain funeral arrangements. You have the right
to select a service that excludes embalming. Embalming is required by this firm
to provide an open casket visitation. Other Preparation of Deceased $ 680.00

Joyce Allyn Parker Bibb, 93, went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2026 in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the widow of Homer W. Bibb; Mother of Greg Bibb, and wife Rene’; ‘Grandmom” of Ryan Bibb, and wife Sarah; “GG” to Merrilee and Hallee Bibb, and Aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. Joyce was born in Monterey, Kentucky, in Own County, later moved to Ashland where she lived for about 68 years, then moved to Lexington six years ago due to her health. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her parents; Charles and Leila Frost Parker. A brother; John Parker. A niece Vickie Parker. Step-mother: Maggie Parker, her second family of the Bibb brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Good friends Evelyn Ward and Brenda Brown. Joyce was a long time member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Ashland where she had served in the choir and as a children’s Sunday School Teacher. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 26th at 1:00 PM at Wildwood Baptist Church by Pastor Emeritus Mike Fitzgerald. Visitation is Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will be Friday at 12:00 PM at the Monterey Cemetery in Owen County. Frank Edward Crites, 86, of Ashland, Kentucky, died peacefully Thursday morning, February 19th, at Community Hospice Care Center. Frank was born January 16, 1940 in Sedgewickville, Missouri, a son of the late Thomas and Dorothy Beatrice Williams Crites. Frank was a home builder by trade, a trade taught by his father to him and brothers Tommy, Jim, Gary, Bob, Jack, and Steve. He leaves a legacy of quality homes throughout the Tri-State.
Frank was a proud soldier in the US Army and served in the United States Air Force at Travis Air Force Base in California. He served a number of years in the Summit-Ironville Volunteer Fire Department where he rose to the rank of Captain.
Frank was an avid fisherman, who used his catch to serve his community by frying fish for churches and businesses like 84 Lumber. More recently, wife Delores would join him. Frank was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brothers Billy Crites and Tommy Gene Crites; sister Neva Viola Daniels, and great-grandson Rayland Gordon. Frank is survived by wife, Delores Crites. Additionally, a son; Chris Crites of Uvalde, TX. A daughter; Sonya Newman (Gary) of Flatwoods. Sisters Vida Fields and Shirley Compton. Granddaughters; Vanessa Crites and Gracie Newman. Grandson Noah Newman. Great Grandson Delain Boggs. Stepchildren Dana Meek (Mark), Darren Reddick (Pat), Brent Reddick (Heather), and Jim Reddick (Laura), all of Missouri. Frank will be missed by a host of cherished family and friends. A memorial service will be Tuesday, February 24th, at 7:00 PM at PRESTON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation is Tuesday from 5:00 PM until service time.

Leonard Earl Stapleton, 85, of Ashland, Kentucky, died peacefully at his home, Sunday, February 15th. Earl was born December 27, 1940 in Haver Hill, Ohio, a son of the late Luther and Edna Floyd Stapleton. He was a brick mason and home builder many years in the Boyd County area. Earl was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife, Claudette Ratliff Stapleton. A son: Timothy Stapleton. A brother: Leroy Stapleton, and a sister: Louise Walker. Surviving include a son; Kenny Stapleton, and his partner David Moore, of Ashland, Kentucky, and 2 grandsons: Johnathon Stapleton and Steven Wells. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 19th at 1:00 PM by Brother Dennis Miles at PRESTON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time.

Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Adkins, 44, of Rush, Kentucky, died Wednesday morning, February 11th, at Community Hospice Care Center. Kenny was born September 18, 1981 in Ashland, Kentucky. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending special time with family and friends. Kenny was a crew member with several former restaurants where he always liked being around people and good conversation. Surviving include his parents John and Sylvia Adkins Hood of Rush, Kentucky. A son; Travis Kinney. A daughter; Sadie Rouse, and three half-sisters. Kenny’s wishes were to not have any services but to remember his as you knew him. Joseph Everett Michael, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, after a long battle with lewy body dementia. He was a native of Nitro, WV, a Vietnam Veteran and graduate of WVU School of Engineering. His career with Dupont Corporation allowed him to call many places home over the years, including a 5-year assignment in Luxembourg. Upon retiring, he relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he built his retirement home, enjoyed restoring classic cars and watching NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret, son Andy (Angie) Michael of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and son Sean (Kim) of Bristol, Tennessee, and grandchildren, Drew Michael, Rachel Cain, Shannon Michael and Jeremy Moorefield. He was preceded in death by his parents Ross and Mary Michael, as well as his sister Agatha McGrath. The family would like to thank Foothills Caring Corps of Carefree, Arizona, for the services & support Joe received that allowed him to live independently for as long as possible and the staff of the Community Hospice Care Center of Ashland, KY for the compassionate care provided to Joe and the family during his final days. Michael was born September 23, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Curtis and Ruby Varney Clark. He was an electrical engineer with Premier Power of Ashland and enjoyed his work and fellowship with fellow employees. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister; Patricia Strong, and a sister in-law; Beth Gauze. Survivors include, his loving wife; Rebecca Ann ‘Becky’ Wilson Clark. A son; Garrett Clark, and wife Cassandra, of Huntington, WV. A daughter; Kaylea Clark of Kenova. 2 brothers; Curtis Clark, Jr., and wife Louise, and Jimmy Clark. 4 sisters; Delores Jean Smith, Donna Tomblin, Merlyn Muncy, and Ginger Akers. Jimmy was born May 8, 1978 in Ironton, Ohio, a son of Bessie Newman Bowman. He was a mechanic with Phillips Body Shop. Helen was born October 28, 1946 in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late James M. and Louise Nelson Robbins. Helen was a retired licensed CNA and a retired caregiver. Helen loved her family and was a true blessing to anyone who knew her. She was always willing to share a minute of conversation or just lend a loving ear. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband; Roland Terry. 2 brothers; Jack Robbins and Lonnie Robbins, and 2 sisters; Dolly Jane Robbins and Debbie Thompson.
