This year, the focus is on protecting young people from illegally made fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that remains the leading cause of overdose deaths in the United States.

Asking questions like these goes beyond what apps they use and helps you understand what they enjoy, what drains them, and how different platforms impact their mood, confidence, and choices. Yes, you can and should use expired Narcan if someone is overdosing and it’s the only naloxone available. Expired naloxone does not become toxic or dangerous. It may lose some potency over time, but research shows the loss is remarkably small. Did you know: The DEA has held 27 national prescription takeback days that have resulted in the removal of 19,200,440 pounds or about 9,600 tons of unused medications from homes where they could have potentially been misused. This is equivalent to the weight of about 29 Boeing 747 airplanes! The next DEA Takeback Day is April 25th. Let's clean out those unused medications and make this number even higher.
