Hello!!! As you know, we like so many other businesses and individuals, were impacted negatively by Covid-19 in 2020. We have remained in business while offering consultations and limited telehealth appointments.

We are in the beginning stages, but we are looking for a house to rent (of course zoned for commercial use) to be utilized as the new home for Ready, Set, Play.

If you know of any places in the Flatwoods or Russell, KY areas, please let us know.

God closed this door and we will praise Him as we wait in the hallway for Him to open the next door.

Until then, we will EXCLUSIVELY be providing counseling via telehealth. The location has closed, but NOT the business. So no physical location for now, but we’re still here to help the children, teens and families in our area.

Keeping kids safe is an adult responsibility. Red flags: Any bruising on a baby who is not pulling up, bruising to ears, neck, torso, buttocks or ge****ls on a child under 4, or unexplained injuries on children of any age. All Kentuckians are mandated reporters of child maltreatment.

If you believe a child is being abused or neglected, report it at 1-877-KYSAFE-1.

"While not every child will experience the COVID-19 pandemic as a trauma, or have already learned healthy coping skills, many will experience loss if the disease attacked their loved ones. Also, secluded at home during the coronavirus outbreak, more children than usual may witness substance abuse, neglect, violence or abuse, experts said.

Because of this pandemic, “we’re going to see increased stress-related cognitive impairment and diseases” and likely increased toxic stress, said Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, California’s surgeon general."

More children are likely to experience toxic stress during the pandemic, which could lead to devastating impacts in the future.
