Our facility is located on the North edge of Ashland, Nebraska, overlooking Oxbow Lake. Ashland is an increasingly popular small town situated approximately 25 miles between Nebraska’s two largest cities, Lincoln and Omaha. We are perfect for those individuals that desire the true small town life but don’t want to give up the convenience of larger cities.

After the last meal was served last night, a group of our amazing team came in for a very special kind of party… a kitchen cleaning party!

No music, no dancing — just hard work, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart. Ok…maybe a little dancing. ☺️

They rolled up their sleeves and worked their tails off to make sure every surface was spotless and the kitchen was fully prepped and ready for this morning’s breakfast.

We can’t thank this crew enough for staying late and going above and beyond.

Hi everyone! My name is Paige Chudomelka, and I am excited to be starting at Oxbow on March 30th as the Executive Director!

I was born and raised in Ashland and graduated from Ashland-Greenwood High School, so being able to serve the Ashland community means a lot to me.

While I was in high school, I worked at Oxbow as a dietary aide. It was during that time that I realized how much I enjoyed working with older adults and hoped that one day I would have the opportunity to return to Oxbow in a professional career.

For the past several years, I have worked at Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging, most recently as an Aged and Disabled Medicaid Waiver Supervisor. In this role, I supervised Service Coordinators who support older adults receiving home and community-based services. My work focused on ensuring individuals receive quality, person-centered services that help them maintain independence and dignity.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Bryce Chudomelka, is a 5th grade teacher at Ashland-Greenwood Intermediate School and helps coach the Ashland-Greenwood High School football team. We have two young children, our daughter Lacey and our son Carson.

I am honored to join the Oxbow team and look forward to getting to know the residents, families, and staff.

We are thrilled to welcome Nicki Bordovsky, LPN, as the Assistant Director of Healthcare here at Oxbow! 🎉

Nicki has worked for MJ for 3 years (her work anniversary was yesterday! 🥳). Growing up near Wahoo, she and her husband Kevin have been married 24 years. She’s a proud mom to Kole (24), Jake (22), and Eva (16). She’s an animal lover with goats, horses, chickens, cats, & dogs. She is also a passionate gardener, a marathon runner, and loves her family.

After 22 years as a nurse exclusively serving seniors, her incredible knowledge, warm heart, and classic hometown attitude are a great fit for all of us here at Oxbow. She’s pure MJ DNA through and through, and we’re so excited to bring her expertise and talent to our residents every day!

Holly brings a wealth of experience from 14 years in the telecommunications industry, where she worked closely on hiring, business operations, and sales.

Outside of work, Holly loves reading, spending quality time with friends and family, thrifting for unique finds, and cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially the Minnesota Vikings!

Holly actually came to us through a great recommendation from a close friend of hers who works at another MJ Senior Living Community.

After arriving at Oxbow, Holly has been diving right in and says that meeting and getting to know our residents has been truly wonderful. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine care are already making a positive difference.

We’re thrilled to have Holly on the Oxbow team and can’t wait to see all the great things she’ll bring to our team and community.
