As the year winds down, The Center wants to say Thank you for an incredible first year. Opening a new business is always a leap of faith. Finding a therapist is always a leap of faith. It doesn’t go unnoticed when our clients trust us. As I reflect over the first year, I’m just left with gratitude. Enjoy the rest of your December and celebrate in all the ways that bring you joy.

Anxious attachment. It’s not a flaw, it’s a survival strategy rooted in early experiences, and often leading to a deep fear of abandonment. It can make emotions feel very intense, and wreak havoc on relationships and mental health. Good news, you can rewire it. ❤️‍🩹

This is root healing. You can leave a partner that’s not good for you, or set boundaries with friends who don’t align with your values and needs, but until you address the WHY, you’ll meet every version of that same person.

Let’s talk about our friend the Fawn.
Self betrayal and abandonment are key players with the Fawn response. We sacrifice our wants and needs for safety. We think the opposite of fawning is aggression or “not being nice”, when in reality, the Fawn tells us we aren’t worthy and we choose friends and partners who treat us accordingly. Un-fawning, looks like this!

Your body holds what you repress. It becomes the blueprint for emotional responses and daily functioning. It may manifest through attachment issues, physical symptoms, or reactions, but just managing symptoms is only the beginning.

📣🎉Please welcome the newest addition to our tutoring program, MS. KAITLIN STEELE!

Kaitlin is currently a 3rd grade teacher at Poage Elementary. She has also taught 2nd grade and provided intervention in reading and math. Her passion lies in helping students build confidence and reach their full potential through individualized support and instruction.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master of Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Her education background and experience allow her to tailor her teaching approach to meet the unique needs of every learner.
Whether your child needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, she is here to provide encouraging, effective tutoring that makes learning meaningful and fun!

Your life has endless value. If we could offer any guidance, it would be to never suffer in silence. There’s help in a time that feels so dark and hopeless.
