Attention AAMC dancers and supporters! This is such a difficult update, but I wanted to let all of you know our beloved ballroom suffered extensive water damage in the recent storm. As a result, the ballroom will be closed for at least a couple of weeks. My heart is broken, but please know I have an entire remediation crew working around the clock to take care of it, and as soon as we get a few dry days they will be installing a new roof. So even though this time is very challenging, it is bringing some much-needed releasing of what needs to be let go, and fiercely ushering in what is needed.

So what does this mean for classes? Some instructors are currently on holiday break anyway, others are choosing to hold classes in the mezzanine space above the AAMC (which was not damaged) as well as in alternate locations including the Liberty Theatre Astoria McTavish, Consejo Hispano (after Jan 6th), and Encore. We will post updates on this page and our website as we get them, but when in doubt please contact the instructor directly to verify (especially with so many on holiday break). This is community coming together, and the AAMC has never forgotten that we wouldn’t be here without you.
