🌸✨ A new season of growth ✨🌸

A *literal* 24 hours before I broke my leg, I signed a contract on a new space!!! Many of you know I’ve been trying to make this happen for quite some time now. SO! despite some challenges and fear of the unknown regarding my recovery, in 2026, Bloom Integrative Wellness will be moving into a larger space (just a few steps from our current 414sq ft location)—one that allows us to expand, evolve, and better support personalized, integrative care. The space needs some love first, and navigating this process is BRAND NEW territory for me so timelines are still unfolding.

My hope is to open the new doors no later than May 1st, and I’ll be sharing the journey along the way. Grateful for the trust, patience, and community that makes growth like this possible 💛🌱

Sunday evening I was walking a slippery path to a hot tub while carrying my daughter. I slipped and as a mama my biggest concern in that split second was her safety and keeping bb girl up off the ground so I wasn’t able to break my fall down a stair… so my leg and ankle took the full impact. My right ankle dislocated and was turned 90 degrees out to the side and as you can see in the images, my fibula is very broken. Small fractures along the bottom of the tibia as well but we aren’t worried about those. The biggest concern is the ligamentous damage as that is what creates stability in the ankle and with the amount of damage currently the surgeon said “it would dislocate with just pressure from my thumb”. I’m scheduled for surgery on Monday where they will do a repair and use hardware to provide that stability 🙏 However, even with hardware I will be unable to put weight through that ankle for a minimum of 6 weeks. It’s possible that if I can get my hands on a knee-crutch that I can get up an around in a few weeks; but NO standing on that leg. In the meantime while I wait for surgery, I will be riding the waves in bed, casted to the mid-thigh, resting and hydrating. Conor and I are in complete awe of the outreach and support from friends, family & community. I don’t know how to put into words how grateful I am (we are) to all of you ❤️❤️ Thank you, thank you, thank you ✨🌊

🚨APPOINTMENTS ARE CANCELLED FOR 12/29 - 1/2

Sunday evening I slipped outside and dislocated my ankle & broke my fibula 😞 I am currently unable to put any weight on my leg and it is likely I will need surgery in which case I will be unable to be on my leg for several weeks.

I’m hopeful that maybe things will heal more quickly so I’m going to cancel on a week-by-week basis. If you have an appointment scheduled you will receive a phone call from either myself or Conor to cancel. We will ask you to use the booking site (link in bio or on the website) to reschedule your appointment for sometime in February. If we are unable to get a hold of you via phone I will attempt to reach out via email. During this time I will probably limit my communication but please don’t hesitate to reach out; I will get back to you as soon as I am able to ❤️

✨office hours and other policy updates✨

Fall is around the corner 🍂 And with that I’m updating some things! Long post ahead (but important stuff!) 🙈

🍄 New hours are effective starting September! While I’m dropping Tuesdays, I’ll be working much longer days and this will add quite a few hours to my week meaning the schedule shouldn’t be quite as crazy/waitlist times will be shorter

🍁 One of the office assistants is starting preschool part time! In anticipation of the immune system development that happens when kids start interacting with other kids 🤧 I will be masking once the new hours start. You, of course, are NOT required to mask!! I just personally do not want to risk bringing the ick to you, your babies and other kiddos

🍄‍🟫 In the past I haven’t had a sick policy! But again, with my kiddo starting school I’m anticipating more illness this year. Even though I will be masking, I’m going to ask that if you are feverish, please call to reschedule. If I am feeling feverish or ill enough to cancel I will call/text/email you directly as soon as possible to reschedule. If my child becomes ill with something highly contagious but I am asymptomatic, I will also call you to give you the option to come in or reschedule. Sniffles are going to happen and for now I’m going to say that’s pretty ok.

🌞 As a reminder, there is a $50 cancellation fee if your appointment is not canceled at least 24 hours before your appointment time or if you no call/no show. This also applies to initial appointments. In the past I have been VERY lenient about this policy but I will be a bit more strict this fall. I know things pop up last minute, but as much advanced notice as possible is greatly appreciated!

I know, insurance is pretty much no one’s favorite subject but it’s one I talk about A LOT because I don’t know about you but I absolutely HATE surprises when it comes to insurance benefits. With a new year starting, deductibles are resetting and many of you will have new insurance plans/new benefits. This means new benefit checks need to be done and signed 🫠

I’m going to be very honest right now.

Y’all know I’m a one-woman show and I work really hard to make sure I verify your benefits, check for pre authorizations, help you understand what your deductibles/copays/coinsurances/limitations mean. I do this so there (hopefully) aren’t any big surprises for either of us. With an increasing number of patients, this is very time consuming work that is done outside of patient hours. I want to focus my time less on admin work and more on the time we have together in person. SO, this year, I’m going to have you all put in a little bit of effort to verify your own insurance benefits, and then I will of course still take the time at your appointment to thoroughly explain what they mean for you and your care!
