Niabi Zoo is hosting a sensory inclusion day! If you need help getting a flyer, let me know!

Niabi Zoo is hosting our
1st Annual
Sensory Inclusion Day!
Wed., April 27th,10 am to 5 pm

This is a private event reserved for those with unique sensory needs and their families.

Niabi Zoo is very excited to work with our community and create opportunities for those with different needs. There are many concerns about the time and day of this first event, and we hear that! The intention for this very first Sensory Inclusion Day was to first gather information about interest in our community for such an event, and to host a smaller event the first time during the week to identify and resolve any possible issues. Furthermore, Niabi’s intention is to hold more events such as this in the future with more inclusive times or days once we have worked together to “iron out” any issues. This is an exciting opportunity as it will hopefully lead to many more events moving forward!

Niabi Zoo will be closed to the general public on this day.

Admission is only available to those who arrive at the Zoo with a full Sensory Inclusion Day flyer.

Please contact Frankie Byczynski (Randle) at frandle@balanceautism.org for details on how to obtain your admission flyer;

Admission rates are below:
Adults (ages 13-61) = $9.00
Seniors (ages 62+) = $8.00
Military (all active personnel) = $8.00
Children (ages 3-12) = $6.50
Children (ages 2 and under) = Free

I apologize for how quiet I have been and not updating you all with news as I receive it. I feel I have provided too much excitement before I was able to deliver. I never imagined just how much time would be required and the hoops I would jump through to be able to bring services to the area. I have a new post on our blog with some updated info and hope you are just as excited as I am about some tangible progress! Take a look now!

I have been quiet for a long time as disappointment set in while getting credentialed with insurance companies. I believe in transparency, so I would like to update you with what has been happening....

Compassionate, quality care accessible to YOU

Hello everyone and welcome to Advantage Autism and Therapy Services, LLC. I am still in the early stages of starting this venture and cannot wait to provide you with quality services. I moved back to Iowa almost 2 years ago and was surprised at the limited number of resources in the area for those with autism. I am making it my mission to offer more accessible services to those in the Muscatine area.

I got my start in this field while earning my undergrad in Social Work. I worked with a 6 year old boy who had autism and immediately became fascinated by autism and applied behavior analysis. I loved celebrating all the milestones this boy achieved and felt such joy in this work. I spent almost a year working with him before services ended. I then focused on my degree and earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Indiana University. I worked in child welfare for a few years, but constantly thought about my time with that boy. It caused me to further my education and find employment with an ABA clinic. I earned my Master of the Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University and soon after achieved my status as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In my time as a BCBA, I have worked with children with autism developing daily programming to aid in their life skill development, communication, and social interactions and developing intervention plans to decrease problem behaviors while teaching replacement behaviors. I have also consulted with treatment teams for adults with brain injuries and intellectual disabilities to develop behavior intervention plans. It is such a joy to see my clients succeed. When they succeed, I succeed!
