OFFICE UPDATES for The Haven are here!!!! 🎉🎊

We will be updating the newsletter as well but wanted to give y’all an update here too!

As I said in the post, I try to be as transparent as possible. I’ve also never had 2 kids & owned a business & tried to get a coverage doctor in with a new office manager 🤪 so bare with me as we figure this all out together!

That being said, if there is ever any miscommunication or concern or ANYTHING needs further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out!

This community brings my soul so much peace & happiness. I could not do this life without the energy that The Haven brings me.

& doing it all while bringing my own family to the office. Priceless. I don’t take it for granted.

Gods grace is so evident. Gods goodness is overpowering. I pray for so much gratitude and laughter in this season. 🫶🏻

Five years ago I walked across the stage to receive my diploma & become a Doctor of Chiropractic!

It truly has been the wildest, but greatest ride I could have ever imagined.

From adjusting at my in-laws, along the Oconee River Greenway, in a tiny cottage, to up the steepest steps (iykyk) to my first office & now to where we are. In the most beautiful office with the best natural light and sweetest vibes ever. I just could not be more grateful for the journey.

Jesus has called me to do great things for my community. I don’t take that lightly. Being apart of so many families health & healing journeys is honestly one of the greatest joys of my entire life.

To get personal, 2020 was one of the worst & most challenging years of my life. My brother died in July, we closed on our Athens home in August, I graduated in September & there was just so-much-change 😫 I truly wasn’t sure where the Lord was going to take us.

But God. He showed up in unimaginable ways. Allowed me to chase my wildest dreams. & here we are. Five years later. Thanking Him for so many things I prayed for.

I could not do any of it without the support (& handiness) of my incredible husband. My family. My friends. & this amazing community!

Just thank you. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for confiding in me. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your lives. Thank you for the growth. The love. The tears.

It’s all worth it 🫶🏻

SO MANY NEW UPDATES!!!! 🎊✨

First off, thank you all SO MUCH for your support during this transition! We all know it did not go as planned, but yall have been so understanding & flexible & we appreciate it more than you could ever know!

There are some huge changes happening at The Haven!

To start, .kaylawilloughby will be staying with us until the summer!!! She will be adjusting alongside Dr. Hannah as well as doing reassessments, reports & scans! We are so honored to have her serving this community for an additional time!

Dr. Hannah will be returning MARCH 3rd!! We will be accepting new patients at that time & resuming care plans, reassessments & rescans! YAY!

We are also so excited to announce will be providing pelvic floor therapy starting in February at The Haven! Dr. Allie is INCREDIBLE (iykyk) & we are so excited she will be sharing the space with us!

Adjustments, new patient visits, scans and reports will all be scheduled at a first come, first serve basis! Please get in contact to get scheduled out so we can be sure you get the time you need! We will also resume online booking!

We love y’all so much & are so excited for this new chapter at The Haven! The Lord is doing huge things for this community!!

Merry Christmas from The Rackley’s ✨

The past few weeks have been nothing short of eventful, to say the least. I just wanted to show my utmost gratitude with how flexible, understanding and loving everyone has been!

We take your care & health extremely seriously at The Haven and try to provide everything we can for a good experience! Though we had my maternity leave all planned out perfectly, we know Gods timing does not always allow for that!

I ended up in the emergency room at 36 weeks with preeclampsia. This put me out for the remainder of the pregnancy & the year! Obviously we had to cancel, reschedule, communicate and do anything we could to accommodate everyone’s schedule while trying to figure out our next steps.

Thank the good Lord for .scriven & for absolutely stepping up & serving this community so beautifully! They are two of the greatest women & I could not be more grateful for them!

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of our patients. The amount of prayers, texts, messages, drawings, letters and gifts were incredible! This community knows how to show up, in the best possible way!

Here’s to adding another member to our Haven family! Love you guys so much!

✨Sleep Support ✨

Some of our favorite products that help to support sleep are from & !

All of these products help to support relaxation & a calming mood. Patients use them on kids, during pregnancy & everything in between!

Magnesium spray on the bottom of the foot & calves is an absolute game changer. I also love the Good Night Lotion for kids rubbed all over the legs. I use the goodnight lotion on my belly every single night! I also love the thyroid support!

It’s also important to analyze the reasons behind why you or your child isn’t sleeping well! These supplements are meant to “support” you while your body starts to regulate, not long term.

Some additional methods you can try without supplementation:
-no phones for 30-60 minutes before bed
-use a sound machine as opposed to tv or phone
-limit eating 2 hours before bed
-utilize a red light before bed
-stick to a sleep schedule (wake up & nighttime)
-limit/avoid caffeine after 1pm

Sleep is so incredibly important & takes some trial and error to pinpoint your issue! Prioritize your rest & sleep habits!

At the start of the year, we were so excited to welcome our little honeymoon baby! 🤍

Pregnancy was going so great, until it wasn’t. On February 26th after a day of adjusting, Kevin and I suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks.

It was the start of one of the worst weeks of my entire life. I felt hopeless. I felt defeated. I felt ashamed. I felt like my body failed me. As a chiropractor, it’s extremely challenging to accept that your body is capable of that when you do SO much to focus on your own health.

The reason I am deciding now, 6 months later to post about it, is because the amount of women that need the support of other women that have gone through pregnancy loss is just something I can’t turn my head to. It’s not talked about enough. Plus, I’d arguably say that I am just now starting to heal after so much suppression (hello trauma & grief I haven’t processed 🥴).

Im here to tell you that there is so much hope on the other side. Kevin & I grew so much after going through something so traumatic. You truly don’t know the pain of miscarriage until you’ve experienced it yourself (which I don’t wish on anyone).

My hopes in posting this is to create a space where you feel comfortable talking to me or to your loved ones about miscarriage. It’s too common & has affected so many women & I’ve found talking about it has helped healing in so many ways.

I guess I was embarrassed or ashamed for the longest time, which I’m sure a lot of others have felt. But I hope you realize how strong you are. How brave you are to continue on after such a difficult loss.

Your body did not fail you. You’re going to be a mother one day & your loss does not define you. You are strong & so capable.

Jesus has brought you through the darkest of days to bring so much light & joy into your life! Your challenges in life make you who you are & that is a daughter of our King! Nothing will ever change that!

I pray that if you are struggling through pregnancy loss, that you can lean on the hope that Jesus will fill your hands one day. I pray you have a community that lifts you up.
