Thank you to the wonderful people at Tavolino for putting together a daily food resource post!

Daily food resource post 11/7/25:

I’m thinking it might be more helpful at this point to do a daily post with meals available in the community that day. People can also comment if they have extras that day, or if a family has needs that day.
There seems to be a whole lot of people helping in small ways, and I know it can be confusing (and a lot to wade through). I can’t keep track of all of it myself, but I’m sure as a group, we can make sure people get relevant information that is needed!

*Athens County Food Pantry Distribution 10am-3pm (back of Job and Family Services)
*Hotbox Chicken 11am-3am (free meal available for SNAP recipients)
*Federal Valley Resource Center Food Distribution 11am-12pm
*Nelsonville Food Cupboard Food Distribution 12pm-3pm
*Mitzi Lou’s 817 W Union St (free slice of pizza or grilled cheese for children under 18 or ANY age with I/DD waiver) 1pm-5pm
*Good Works free meal 4:30pm-7:30pm The Plains United Methodist Church

This is going to be a fun day! We are excited to collaborate with our partner NAMI Athens for food, fun, and friends. Soup Sessions wil be every Friday beginning THIS Friday Nov 7th.
