Rising Suns Non-Profit Pharmacy Rising Suns Non-Profit Pharmacy is designed to help ease medication costs for people of Southeast Ohio who are underinsured or uninsured. Thank you!

We do not accept insurance and require insurance and income information to determine eligibility. We are a non - profit pharmacy that helps to manage medications for people in our community that are uninsured and underinsured. We are operating with minimal staffing and volunteers as we are a grant based organization. We understand that medications are expensive. We ask that if you are interested i

n eligibility, please be prepared to provide us with monthly/yearly income, the list of medications you are taking, your insurance status, and current cost of your medications (pharmacy receipts recommended), and potentially more information as needed to fill medications with us. Also, we are a repository pharmacy. This means we accept medication donations mostly from long term care facilities. We have other places that help supply medications including us purchasing medications. We do not carry every medication. We do not carry narcotics, controlled medications or gabapentin. We do not carry specialty medications. You are welcome to review our formulary page on our website (www.risingsunspharmacy.org) or you or you provider may call to find out if we have medication availability. We love serving our community. We sincerely appreciate your support and understanding and we hope to continue building our services! HOURS OF OPERATION:

WEDNESDAYS 1 - 5

FRIDAYS 10 - 3

We offer delivery services on most Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are not able to get to us, we will get your meds to you! (Thanks to our volunteer delivery dude, Dan!)



You may call the pharmacy at 740-447-5025 with inquiries or to make an appointment. Please leave us a detailed message with your request so we can get back to you. We are currently operating on volunteer only staffing and it may take several days to get back to you. We apologize sincerely for this inconvenience and will do our best to address all questions.

**Important Delivery Announcement**
Due to unforeseen circumstances for the week of March 15-March 21st, Rising Suns CANNOT offer delivery. Please make arrangements to get your medications when we are open that week (Monday and Wednesday 1-5 and Friday 10-3).

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT BLOOD THINNERS:

Rising Suns is currently OUT OF Eliquis and Xarelto (remember, we get these donated from long term care facilities and pharmacies. We have no control of what we receive) IF YOU HAVE MEDICARE, we recommended you reach out to your insurance plan and work on obtaining thru your insurance. We do the very best with can with what we get. We understand this is a concern. Please reach out to your providers office for a medication change or other options.

Hey folks! If we get the amount of snow/ice expected, the pharmacy will be closed on Monday. This is a pharmacy closing watch. Like a snow storm watch. FYI.

PLEASE give us 48 business hours to fill your prescriptions.

If you are new, please call the pharmacy first to verify eligibility.

We are incredibly busy. We are a grant funded entity and the majority of people helping are volunteers here.

If you have Medicare, please reach out to your Medicare plan FIRST before calling Rising Suns to verify your Medicare copays. We WILL ask you for the household monthly/yearly income for eligibility. Our average single patient brings in just over Medicaid (approx. 1300 per month) up to couples that are bringing in approx. 3,000 per month. OR are uninsured.

We would appreciate your grace as we work so hard to take care of our community. Thank you.
