I work in private practice as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), What is an IBCLC, you ask? I provide clinical lactation care, as allied health provider and I am a member of the healthcare team. I also have a Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University in Communication and I am currently Licensed in Ohio as a Practical Nurse. I have been working directly with families in the lactation and infant feeding field for nearly 14 years; focusing on oral restriction & release and habilitation for the last 4 years. I am a life long learner, continuing to fine tune my education, skills and protocols as my experience grows. I look forward to helping meet YOUR breastfeeding goals. I strive to offer facts, evidence and current recommendations to empower you to make the best, informed decision for your family.
My practice is located in Southeastern Ohio nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Athens County has been home to my 5 children ages 3-18, along with Ohio University for the last 24 years. My oldest child is now officially a Bobcat as time slips more quickly through the hour glass; like my grandmother promised it would. The future is here, 2020 coming fast with great news! Once you are officially a client of Ebb & Flow Lactation, you will need to establish an account with, Acuity Scheduling, to handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, updating personal & billing information, signing consent & billing agreements and completing intake forms. You will also receive an email invite to download the Spruce App. Spruce is a secure communication platform that protects your private health information and protects me by enabling me to remain HIPAA compliant with communication. The amazing Spruce app allows us to communicate securely via text (SMS), email and face to face video sessions! Rest assured I work hard to make sure your information remains private. To recap, Acuity Scheduling handles the admin tasks; Spruce tackles secure communication of clinical details. Both are very important.
