Vivian Elizabeth Baird Nickerson Ygartua of Athens, Georgia passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026.

Vivian’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to Caregivers Denise Thomas and Tina Flores; Mrs. Christie Chandler Cook, Avery Village and the Traditions Health hospice team for all their love and care and to the many family members and friends who continued to reach out and “check-in” on her.

Currently, the family is planning a Celebration of Life for Vivian for a date later in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vivian’s honor to Athens Academy, The Athens YWCO or Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Jack David Mouilso, 76, of Athens, Georgia, passed away on February 1, 2026, at his home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and related complications. His loving wife, Renee, was by his side.

Jack’s family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary compassion and care he received from Agnes, Elenor, Jennifer, Linda M, Linda RN, Tiffany, and the many staff at Amedisys Home Health Care and Oconee Home Health Care.

Jack will be cremated according to his wishes and there will be a service and gathering in Athens on February 9.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.

Due to forecasted inclement weather on Saturday, the memorial service for Sarah Jane “Sally” Birchmore Wildman has been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, where Reverend Katie Bradshaw and Reverend Mandy Brady will officiate. A reception will follow immediately at the church. A private burial will take place at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
