Here are some more ways to sneak more nutrients into your day:
- Add beans to your tacos, yum! Aim to eat beans 3x/week.
- Always have a vegetable on the side with your meal. Try brocolli with pasta, salad with pizza, carrots sticks with your sandwich (even with PB&J).
- Add some extra vegetables to your soups and chilli
- Eat berries with your breakfast. They work great in cereal, yogurt, oats, and smoothies!
- Try a new food every week. There is such a variety of fruit, vegetables, beans, and grains.
- Try a new cooking technique. Roasted vegetables taste very different than steamed.
Most importantly, be adventurous and have fun!!
