Meaningful & Memorable!! Humble Warrior leaders Raquel and Mary Beth, along with their Veterans spouses, were honored to participate in the 2025 Freedom Ball held in the magnificent Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA. The event was hosted by the Georgia Veterans Day Association—a nonprofit. This year’s Ball placed a powerful spotlight on Women Veterans, and the program was exceptionally well executed. The keynote speaker, Commissioner Dr. and US Air Force COL (Ret.) Patricia Ross, delivered an inspiring address that wove together her personal journey with a strong call that elevated the service and experiences of all women who served.

The evening also featured several impactful women speakers, including the most recent Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame inductee, Dr. & US Navy veteran Amy Stevens, who reminded the audience that women have always served, led, and will continue to shape the future of our Armed Forces. It was a remarkable night of honor, reflection, and celebration. 🇺🇸

We had an absolute blast riding as part of Georgia Military Women (GMW) group in the Atlanta Veterans Day Parade. Our Chair Raquel Durden also represented as the Georgia Woman Veteran of the Year. Vice Chair Mary Beth Wheeler & Raquel rolled in a sporty convertible named “Pearl.” That evening at the Freedom Ball, it was announced that the Georgia Military Women parade entry earned BEST Veteran Organization Parade Entry. A truly memorable day of honoring service, celebrating community, and lifting up all veterans while also highlighting women who lead and serve! 🇺🇸
