TODAY IS OHIO UNIVERSITY GIVING DAY 2026💚

These are exciting times for the Department of Athletic Training! Over the past 5 years we have seen over 60% growth in enrollments in our MSAT, DAT, and the first of its kind accredited Athletic Training Residency in Pediatrics. In addition, we offer undergraduate and graduate certificates in Performing Arts Medicine and have a robust pre-AT pathway.

With this growth comes additional financial demands to recruit and retain students, teaching equipment, and covering the costs of professional student activities. Once again, Skip Vosler has pledged a matching gift up to $2,500.

There is strength in numbers. The number of people contributing is as important to the university as the net amount. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps propagate Skip’s legacy (and yours) via our graduates.

First-year MSAT student David Lasky was invited to a special pre-event reception with Dean McCarthy, where he connected with Damar and talked with him about his experience and deep appreciation for athletic trainers! A huge congratulations to Dr. Laura Harris on receiving the GLATA Golden Pinnacle Award at the 2026 GLATA Symposium! As the highest honor for GLATA members, this award acknowledges Dr. Harris's outstanding leadership. Our residents, DAT, and MSAT students are so fortunate to learn from her!

Two weeks ago, OU MSAT faculty and several first-year students connected with OU AT alumni in Cincinnati at the joint AATE, ATPPS, and PAATS symposia. It was a great opportunity for networking and to learn from some of the best and brightest in the field!
