When Maya Angelou was just 16, she found herself pregnant and afraid. The father wanted no part of it, and she didn’t know what her future would hold.

But she chose life, and later called it “the best decision I ever made.”

Her son, Guy, became her joy and inspiration. Maya Angelou went on to become a world-renowned author, poet, speaker, and civil rights leader; leaving a legacy that continues to change lives today.

Her story reminds us: an unexpected pregnancy doesn’t have to end your dreams. It can become the beginning of a new chapter filled with love, strength, and purpose. 💕
