Today, we celebrate the heart of our clinic—our incredible pediatricians! 💙👩‍⚕️

On this Doctor’s Day, we want to recognize our four amazing physicians here at Covenant Pediatrics who make a difference in the lives of our patients and families every single day. Your compassion, dedication, and commitment to children’s health inspire us all. From treating little ones to guiding parents, you go above and beyond in every way.

🌇 This week, two of our providers are in Atlanta to attend the National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) Conference!

This conference brings together rural health leaders from across the country to share the latest ideas, strategies, and innovations that improve care for patients in rural communities just like ours. By participating, our team is gaining valuable insights into new pediatric care approaches, care coordination strategies, and community health programs that can make a real difference for families here in southeastern Tennessee.

For our pediatric patients, this means our providers are continually learning ways to:
• Strengthen preventive care and early screenings
• Improve access to specialized resources for rural families
• Enhance care coordination for children with ongoing health needs
• Bring proven rural health solutions back to our clinic and community

Investing in professional development ensures that the children and families we serve receive the most up-to-date, high-quality care possible—right here at home.

Regena and Dr. Breeden are proud to represent our community while learning from rural health experts across the nation, and we look forward to bringing those insights back to better serve the children and families of southeastern Tennessee!

Preparing for a Winter Storm
(Family‑Friendly Tips)

❄️ Make a simple family plan so everyone knows where to go and how to stay in touch if the power goes out.

❄️ Stock up on basics for a few days: food, water, medications, diapers, and pet supplies.

❄️ Keep everyone warm by laying out coats, hats, gloves, blankets, and extra socks ahead of time.

❄️ Prepare your home by charging phones, setting flashlights out, and safely adjusting the thermostat.

❄️ Check on children, older family members, and neighbors, and keep kids busy with games or books if you’re stuck indoors.

We wanted to make our patient families aware of possible exposures in our surrounding area. Please feel free to contact our office at 423-744-8755 with any questions or concerns you may have regarding measles or the vaccine.

Health officials are warning travelers who passed through Memphis International Airport recently that they may have been exposed to measles, one of the most contagious diseases in the world. Because measles can linger in the air for hours after an infected person leaves, health experts said exposure does not require close contact. fox13.tv/4juRkPH
