The Closing of the Bones is one of the most sacred postpartum traditions — a ceremony of returning, reclaiming, and coming home to the body after birth. On January 10th, Mama Divine is opening the circle for a deeply immersive workshop for postpartum doulas, full-spectrum doulas, midwives, healers, and anyone called to this ancient work.

In this sequence, you’re witnessing exactly how we teach our doulas and traditional birth workers: through real-time, embodied practice rooted in ancestral wisdom and technical skill.

Here, our Traditional Midwife Preceptor, and our Doula Preceptor, Mama Divine demonstrate the sacred placement of doula and midwife during a hands-and-knees birth.✨

From the crown to the womb, every position matters, every movement is intentional, and every role is honored.

‼️We’re walking our students through:
• How to safely maneuver around baby’s head while still preparing to deliver the placenta
• Why knees draw inward + feet turn outward to open the pelvic floor
• How to stabilize, support, and stay grounded during hands-and-knees positioning
• What to do when complications arise and how to move with mama, not against her
• Ensuring the midwife is in her rightful place, and the doula is in hers — so support flows, not collides
