Hello Beautiful People,

It seems that there is a holiday for nearly everything these days! I believe Small Business Saturday is a great initiative, though I might be a bit biased.

Years ago, when I was laying the groundwork for creating The Hive, I attended a workshop on writing an award-winning business plan at the Small Business Association. The SBA is an incredible resource that provided me with invaluable assistance, as writing a solid business plan was an essential step in being considered for a potential space by our landlord.

The workshop was led by a gentleman who had owned several restaurants in the Atlanta area. His desire to own these restaurants stemmed from his wish to share the food of his childhood and the rich culture that accompanied it.

The facilitator mentioned that when you start a small business, you are creating a legacy, which deeply resonated with me. I come from a long line of small business owners, and each of those ventures was launched with the intention of sharing something meaningful.

When you shop at a small business, you are participating in something significant. When you shop at The Hive, you are not only taking care of yourself but also helping to create a community, and that is really meaningful.

You are also helping to foster my wish to help people take it one step at a time, to just show up, and to find little pockets of joy along the way... to practice yoga together and set the other stuff down for a moment.

Our next teacher training program starts in January.

It is more than just a teacher training; it’s an immersion into all things yoga, meditation, and pranayama.

While we guarantee that you will walk away able to teach a basic yoga class, you will also gain so much more.

Our program will introduce you to various yoga styles to help you find the one that resonates with you.

During our time together, you will develop a deeper connection with yourself, find your voice, create new friendships, laugh, cry, study hard, and have an incredible time.

Our students are always sad when the training ends. That’s how powerful it is.

Jasmine of Atlanta Birthwork has thoughtfully designed Pause, “ A Wise Women’s Selfcare Workshop, to allow you the chance to do just that. By combining yoga and flower arranging, you will have a walk-away feeling of renewal and have the perfect reminder to continue blooming! This event takes place on Sunday, October 12th, 1-2:30 pm

Here is what to expect: For the woman in transition—menopause, perimenopause, or simply ready to slow down.

Join us for a sacred pause. In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll spend 55 minutes in restorative yoga, designed to honor your changing rhythms. Sip soothing tea and cucumber water as you unwind. Then, gather fresh blooms and create your own bouquet — a grounding ritual to give yourself the flowers you deserve.

We’ll close with gentle affirmations and herbal offerings, supporting you through the season you’re in. Because this phase of life isn’t an ending — it’s a becoming.
