Hello Beautiful People,

It seems that there is a holiday for nearly everything these days! I believe Small Business Saturday is a great initiative, though I might be a bit biased.

Years ago, when I was laying the groundwork for creating The Hive, I attended a workshop on writing an award-winning business plan at the Small Business Association. The SBA is an incredible resource that provided me with invaluable assistance, as writing a solid business plan was an essential step in being considered for a potential space by our landlord.

The workshop was led by a gentleman who had owned several restaurants in the Atlanta area. His desire to own these restaurants stemmed from his wish to share the food of his childhood and the rich culture that accompanied it.

The facilitator mentioned that when you start a small business, you are creating a legacy, which deeply resonated with me. I come from a long line of small business owners, and each of those ventures was launched with the intention of sharing something meaningful.

When you shop at a small business, you are participating in something significant. When you shop at The Hive, you are not only taking care of yourself but also helping to create a community, and that is really meaningful.

You are also helping to foster my wish to help people take it one step at a time, to just show up, and to find little pockets of joy along the way... to practice yoga together and set the other stuff down for a moment.

As the holiday season approaches, life can sometimes feel overwhelming as our routines get shaken up. Yet, holding onto those routines can be a powerful way to stay centered and ease stress during this festive whirlwind.

We are thrilled to announce our annual Hive Holiday Challenge! This special initiative invites you to set aside time for self-care amid the holiday hustle. It’s a fantastic opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.

The challenge kicks off TODAY, and runs through January 1st. You’ll find posters displayed at the back of the studio to track your attendance—show up and log your participation; it’s that simple!
