🌍✨ The 2025 spanDNA TransAtlantic Genealogy Summit has officially come to a close—and what an unforgettable journey it's been. From soul-stirring conversations to powerful ancestral connections, we're deeply grateful for every heart and hand that helped bring this vision to life.

To our sponsors and partners: thank you gor believing in the power of reconnection, wellness, and Black legacy.

To our vendors and facilitators: your talent and spirit transformed our space into a true homeplace.

To our attendees: your presence reminded us that while our roots are global, our love is fiercly local.

🕯️As we look to next year—with whispers of Ghana in the air, we remain committed to leading and learning in love, community, and collective memory.

And yes, those signature pink spanDNA water bottles spotted in the photo thread? They're officially up for grabs! Hydrate in style while honoring your heritage. Stay cool, stay rooted💧🌸

Now it's your turn🎙️: Have you begun tracing your lineage? If so, where has the journey taken you, and what have you discovered about yourself along the way?

A heartfelt thank you to Claudia Maturell, Media Director for spanDNA Families, whose vision, leadership, and creative brilliance brought our stories to life and made the Summit shine across every platform.

🫶🏿BLACK LOVE🫶🏿

For this event, SageD Consulting will be welcoming My Black Genealogist & Masud Olufani as our facilitators in exploring and celebrating the practice of Black Love.

Adwoa, the founder of spanDNA, connects communities of African descent with their cultural roots through genealogy. Through compassionate research, education, and coaching, spanDNA enables individuals to discover, preserve, and navigate their ancestral heritage in the context of the West African diaspora.

Masud, an Atlanta-based multidisciplinary artist, draws profound inspiration from the vibrant traditions of African and African American storytelling. Rooted in a deep commitment to showcasing the resilience within communities navigating adversity, his art becomes a compelling exploration of cultural heritage and storytelling.

This conversation is inspired by Masud’s direct work with Adwoa on his genealogical exploration in Ghana with Adwoa’s direct engagement and support.

We look forward to seeing you at The Lola on February 26th at 4:30PM.
