How to do printmaking with shaving cream:

1. Cover the bottom of a tinfoil pan with shaving cream
2.add drops of food dye to the shaving cream.
3. Use a tooth pick or pencil to swirl your colors together
4. Use a plastic knife or spatula to smooth out the shaving cream
5. Use a piece of white card stock or watercolor paper and place it on top of the shaving cream
6.pull up your paper and place it flat on the table shaving cream side up. Use the flat edge of a ruler to scrape away all of the shaving cream in one motion
7. Allow to dry

Happy Memorial Day! Here is a fun art project you can do at home and with your kids. Start by gluing yarn to thick white paper, allow to dry and watercolor paint around it.

This is a mandala painting you can make at home using a paper plate and some acrylic paints. If you don’t have paints collaging or coloring a design on your paper plate with markers or color pencils will work too. Mandalas are circles that represent wholeness, this a great self reflective activity you can do at home by yourself or with your kids. Enjoy!
