Arthritis Foundation Massachusetts

Arthritis Foundation Massachusetts We're committed to leading the fight against arthritis by helping the arthritis community conquer everyday battles while forging the path to a cure!

The Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org) leads the way in helping people with arthritis live better today and create better tomorrows through new treatments, better access and, ultimately, cures. We do this by:

• Funding life-changing research that has restored mobility in patients for more than six decades
• Fighting for health care policies that improve the lives of the millions of Americans with arthritis
• Partnering with families to provide empowering programs and information

As the nation’s largest private funder of research, public health programs and advocacy on behalf of the 50 million Americans with this painful disease, the Arthritis Foundation aims to reduce the number of people suffering from arthritis-related physical activity limitations by 20 percent by 2030.

This season can be busy, loud and full of pressure to “do it all.” But your health, your comfort and your well-being come first — always. That’s why we’re sharing a few reminders to help you move through the holidays on your terms:

✔️ Protect your energy- You can plan down time during a busy day.
✔️ It's okay to say "No"- There are work parties, family parties, neighborhood parties and you can decline an invitation. You might feel guilty, but you can also plan to see folks after the new year when plans slow down.
✔️ Skip the Stress- You can make things easier and eliminate stress! Maybe you skip the elaborate wrapping, or cut down on the decorating, or you order more things online in order to cut down on stress.
✔️ Move Smart- Any movement is good movement. Maybe it is a walk or a dance party in your kitchen!
✔️ Indulge- Treat yourself to a sweet treat or maybe a spa treatment. You deserve it!
✔️ Listen to your body- Your body will absolutely tell you if you over-did-it, so better to plan ahead and be gentle to yourself during this busy season.

These small choices add up. Your body deserves care and you deserve a holiday that feels manageable, meaningful and yours.

💚 What reminder do you need most this season? Share it below.
