Zen isn’t something we think our way into.
It’s something the body remembers.
Assisted movement invites the nervous system to soften to feel supported, held, and safe enough to let go.
Through slow, guided stretches and gentle rhythmic motion, the body begins to release stored tension held in the hips, shoulders, spine, and fascia.
Not by force.
But by permission.
This kind of somatic work helps:
• Calm the sympathetic “fight or flight” response
• Restore natural range of motion
• Rehydrate connective tissue
• Release emotional and physical holding patterns
• Bring the body back into a felt sense of ease and presence
When someone moves you with care, your nervous system learns a new language
one of trust, regulation, and deep listening.
This is where Zen lives.
Not in striving…
but in surrendering to supported movement.
