Our day may have started off rainy and blah, but that didn't dampen our spirits as our ladies eagerly headed out for lunch at O’Charley’s. We all agreed—the bread was so irresistible it might as well have been dessert! The service was outstanding, making us already eager to return soon.

Food Service Director Challenge, Week 4: flatbread! Today, Chef Eli kicked things off by making a delicious flatbread pizza. But what really brightened our residents' day was his creative twist on the Dubai Chocolate Bar — using flatbread, spreading chocolate, pistachio crème, and adding crunchy fried phyllo dough. It was such a delightful way to celebrate National Pistachio Day and enjoy the food challenge together!

Happy Wednesday! We’re so happy when Angela from Piedmont Hospice & Palliative Care joins us to celebrate our monthly birthdays. She always brings a delicious dessert, and for February, she truly wowed us with a red velvet cake topped with white chocolate cream cheese frosting. We wrapped up the day with a fun game of LCR!

Adventure time with our Cottage residents! We had a fabulous time shopping at the
Painted Tree Boutiques, followed by a delicious lunch at Paradise Grille & Paradise South Of The Border. Some got doggy bags for dinner!

Best part of the day - several residents showed up in bright hair clips to match our wonderful Kelli’s colorful hair! 💕🌈 Leading with love…and a little bit of color. 💖✨

Two-for-one! We had a fantastic time celebrating Mardi Gras and our Manor Lake Food Service Director Challenge! Our talented chef crafted delectable New Orleans-style beignets using the star ingredient: croissants. Residents enthusiastically joined the festivities, creating their own delicious King Cakes by unrolling, stuffing, and baking croissants. It was a truly fun and tasty celebration!

Whether providing hands-on care, offering a listening ear, sharing a smile, or supporting families through important moments, our caregivers make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

On Monday, we had a packed house for Elvis. He even had our Hickory Flat Jordaniers singing with him. The staff were even singing and dancing along. Everyone had a fabulous time, just don’t step on our blue suede shoes!

On Saturday, we broke out the glue guns and let our creativity soar! We had an absolute blast crafting adorable fuzzy pencils. We made so many that we had lots to share! The shared laughter and memories we created together truly made the day unforgettable!
