Arbor Obstetrics and Gynecology is an office located in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, Georgia. Lisa Holt C.N.M. is a certified Nurse Midwife.

We are small Ob/Gyn Practice in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, Georgia. We have a close knit office staff and friendly knowledgable providers. We are all passionate about women's health and truly enjoy working with our patients through all stages of life. Bios:

Dr. Samantha Anderson is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned her Bachelor's of Science from the University of Georgia and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her residency training at the University of Florida-Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Anderson stays busy running the practice and raising her two children, Tessa and Toby, with her husband. Dr. Rebecca Simonsen is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Atlanta native who earned her Bachelor's of Science in Applied Biology from Georgia Tech University (Go Yellow Jackets!). She attended medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington and completed her residency training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Simonsen has two children and enjoys nights with the family and being involved in her community. She loves serving women in all stages of life and we are proud to have her as a part of our team since 2010. She began her career with 15 years of experience as a nurse in women's health specialties including high risk obstetrics and gynecology. She later graduated from Emory University with a Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery. Lisa and Dr. Anderson have known each other and worked together for 13 years. Lisa is passionate about women's health, and encourages women of all ages to participate and explore all options regarding their wellbeing. Our provider spotlight for November is Dr. Joan Han, who has been with us for over a year and has been a wonderful addition to our Arbor team!

Dr. Han sees women in all stages of life, but specializes in GYN surgical excellence and was the recipient of two different Minimally Invasive Surgery Awards in 2023 and 2024 (the AAGL Excellence and SLS Outstanding Resident, respectively) and has pursued advanced training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery focusing on treatment for heavy or painful periods.

When Dr. Han is not at work, she loves spending time with her adorable dog, her husband, and hiking!

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Many people are unaware that ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecological cancers, making education and awareness so important. Because there is no effective early screening test for ovarian cancer, it is crucial to know the signs and symptoms which can include bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, trouble eating/feeling full quickly/loss of appetite, and urinary frequency.

In March, some of our providers and staff had the privilege of attending the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance Gala. The money raised through this event aids in providing research, treatment, and support to better the outcomes for patients. We care deeply about this cause!

Dr. Sirisha Raju has been with Arbor for 10 years! We value the care she provides to her patients and her calm, smiling demeanor in our office. In her spare time, she chases around her two young children with her husband and enjoys traveling, especially when her travels take her to India where she can spend time with family and friends there.

Our provider spotlight for June is Tega Ojagbeghru, NP! Tega has been with us since 2023 as an Advanced Practice Family Nurse Practitioner, but she started her career in the medical field as a labor and delivery nurse at Northside Hospital. This experience gives her a unique approach to caring for women throughout the varying stages of life.

When not at work, Tega enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling!

(Also fun fact: this fabulous picture of Tega was taken at the GA Ovarian Cancer Society Gala in March at the GA Aquarium. A special event for a wonderful cause!)

Our provider spotlight for May is Dr. Samantha Anderson who has been practicing in the Atlanta area for 25 years! When she's not seeing patients in the office or delivering babies in the hospital she enjoys traveling, skiing, rock climbing, and mountain biking with her husband and two teenagers. We love having her adventurous spirit as a part of our team!
