They say you need to trust your gut, but can your gut trust you? We’re seeing more cases of colon cancer in younger patients, even though it’s preventable and easily treated when caught early!
Make sure you eat a balanced diet - including lots of fiber, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables - and talk to a medical professional if you’re concerned about possible symptoms!
Because of a lack of healthcare access, quality health education, and lower screening rates, Colon Cancer harms communities of color, especially Black men at a disproportionate rate so thanks to for bringing attention to the Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month!
______
Today we raise awareness, start conversations, and remind our community that early detection can save lives. 🎗️March 6th is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Day, which should serve as a powerful reminder to prioritize your health and get screened. 🩺✨
Colorectal Cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when caught early, yet too many people delay screenings or ignore symptoms. Regular screenings, knowing your family history, and talking with your doctor can make all the difference. 📋👩🏽⚕️👨🏾⚕️Let today be your reminder to schedule that screening, check in with loved ones, and spread the word. Prevention starts with awareness! 💡💙
