Happy Working Moms Day!

Today, let's celebrate the dedication, resilience, and complexity of working motherhood. Check out some highlights from this Harvard study on the positive benefits of being a working mom!

No matter your employment status, being a mother comes with an invisible load that isn't always appreciated. Make sure you make time for yourself and your self-care!

----------
People still have this belief that when mums are employed, it's somehow detrimental to their children.

This Harvard study proves otherwise.

Turns out daughters of working mothers:

📈 Earn around 4% more than peers ($1,880/year more in the US)
👩‍💼 1 in 3 hold managerial roles vs 1 in 4 with stay-at-home mums
🎓 Have significantly more education
🧹 Spend about 1 hour less on housework per week

Meanwhile, sons of working mothers:

👨‍👧 Spend 50 extra minutes weekly caring for family members
💍 More likely to choose employed partners
🏠 Hold more egalitarian attitudes about gender roles at home and work

And, they’re both just as happy as the kids of stay at home mothers.

Whether you work because you need to or because you want to, that choice is yours.

Tag a working mum who needs to see this 👇

This Week is National Groundwater Awareness Week. As more data centers are built it’s important to understand their impact.

AI is depleting water sources and damaging ecosystems, but it doesn’t have to. Thank you to .in.bloom for showing us how we can ensure progress works for all of us.

Check out and Future In Bloom to learn about how we can establish sustainable AI infrastructure.

_____
How much water does it cost to generate one AI image?

Good question, but not necessarily the right one.
Instead, today we’re asking WHY data centers need so much water to function, beyond the headlines.

Follow Future in Bloom for more on Solving the AI Power Problem.

They say you need to trust your gut, but can your gut trust you? We’re seeing more cases of colon cancer in younger patients, even though it’s preventable and easily treated when caught early!

Make sure you eat a balanced diet - including lots of fiber, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables - and talk to a medical professional if you’re concerned about possible symptoms!

Because of a lack of healthcare access, quality health education, and lower screening rates, Colon Cancer harms communities of color, especially Black men at a disproportionate rate so thanks to for bringing attention to the Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month!
______
Today we raise awareness, start conversations, and remind our community that early detection can save lives. 🎗️March 6th is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Day, which should serve as a powerful reminder to prioritize your health and get screened. 🩺✨

Colorectal Cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when caught early, yet too many people delay screenings or ignore symptoms. Regular screenings, knowing your family history, and talking with your doctor can make all the difference. 📋👩🏽‍⚕️👨🏾‍⚕️Let today be your reminder to schedule that screening, check in with loved ones, and spread the word. Prevention starts with awareness! 💡💙

💬 Tag someone you love and encourage them to stay on top of their health. Early detection saves lives. 🙌🏾🫶🏽 GetScreened earlydetection

You know your body best! Standing up for your needs is your right.

This month is Endometriosis Awareness Month. Did you know approximately 60% of endometriosis cases are under diagnosed with some patients suffering 11 years of misdiagnosis and the struggle doesn’t end there. Check out Christian Worley’s legal victory over accommodations for endometriosis pain.
———
For more than a decade, Christian “Cece” Worley’s periods were what she calls “hell on earth.”

Her symptoms began at age 12, leaving her in agony during class and later forcing her to miss college courses when she couldn’t get out of bed. When she sought help, her school told her that period cramps didn’t qualify for accommodations. It wasn’t until a professor raised the possibility of endometriosis — a condition affecting 1 in 10 women — that she learned what might be causing her pain.

Worley’s endometriosis went undiagnosed for years. But in 2025, she won the first case in North Carolina to recognize endometriosis as a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Worley, now 27, reached a near six-figure settlement in her disability discrimination lawsuit against the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. She had been employed by the state as a juvenile court counselor trainee.

Teenagers have long been characterized as moody and irritable by default. While these may be common traits in that time of life, World Teen Mental Wellness Day reminds us to check in with our teens and connect with them so we can spot the signs of more serious issues.

Ask how they’re really doing.
Listen without judgment.
Create space for honest conversations.

Presence can be powerful—sometimes, just knowing someone cares makes all the difference.

Women have always shaped medicine, even when history refused to record their names. As we enter Women's History Month & Gender Equality Month, we'd like to honor the trailblazers who broke barriers but never got their flowers.

Gender equity in medicine is more than representation; it's conducting research that takes everyone's biology into account and shaping systems that take women's symptoms seriously and ensure every person feels safe, listened to, and understood.

Let's continue balancing the scales. Check your email to read the most recent Watch!

According to the W.H.O as many of 80% of all heart attacks and strokes are preventable. As heart health month comes to an end, stay aware of your heart, know your numbers, and continue healthy practices!

HEART FAILURE (or congestive heart failure) is a condition by which the heart is unable to pump effectively enough to deliver oxygen to the body! There are different kinds of heart failure that require different therapies, but most heart failure is highly preventable through lifestyle and management of other chronic diseases. It’s a pretty rough condition that I don’t think gets enough visibility.

As stated in the video, I am not in the business of fearmongering, but in education! So much of heart failure can be prevented. The of America released a recent statement encouraging the medical field to shift our focus more heavily into PREVENTING this condition, which is why I’m teaming up with and expert to help spread the word and allow you to take charge of your health.
