We would like to give a huge shout out to the band STS9 aka Sound Tribe Sector 9 and all of their fans for participating in a collection for our Mercy Care clients at their February 28th concert at . Thank you, Dr. Nathan Flacker, Laure Flacker and Jessica Snider for your efforts in helping lift up our community with a little comfort and compassion with the collection of feminine hygiene products and men's boxers for our clients who are experiencing homelessness. What a wonderful act of compassionate care!

We would like to thank the Atlanta Annunciation Ladies Philoptochos Chapter for choosing Mercy Care as their beneficiary for their annual fundraiser. CEO Kathryn Lawler visited their Chapter last week to talk about our model of care and vision for the future, as well as gratefully accept their donation. With members who have donated and volunteered since 2017, we are so humbled by your continued support. Thank you very much!

On the last week of February, we host our annual Black History Month potluck luncheon for our employees at all four clinics and dressing up and dancing are encouraged! Diversity is the spice of life and we celebrate it here at Mercy Care.

Earlier this month, we were so pleased to welcome Spence Hilburn from who personally delivered a check from their PPC Foundation in support of Mercy Care. Our ability to grow and serve more of our patients relies in part on the faith and ongoing support of our local businesses, so thank you, MetroPower! February is Heart Health Month -- take care of your heart! That means keeping tabs on your blood pressure and making healthy choices (like moving your body regularly and choosing healthy foods). At Mercy Care, our primary care team encourages our patients to make healthy food choices that will lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Preventive health habits help our clients on their journey towards good health!

At Mercy Care, we offer smoke cessation classes to our clients to help them improve their overall health. It's not easy and can take some time, but we're with them on their journey towards wellness and thriving.

We celebrate Black History Month all month long at Mercy Care with dress up days, BHM displays at all four clinics, and an employee potluck at the end of the month. As Maya Angelou said, "We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color."
