Watch this video as Dr. Jones manages a post-op wound caused by an abdominal binder. The area developed an eschar (a scab made of dead tissue), which can sometimes slow down healing if not addressed.

During the procedure, the dead tissue is carefully removed — a painless process — to reveal healthy, red tissue underneath (a good sign of healing). The wound is superficial, with no signs of infection, and is treated with a moist, occlusive dressing to support proper recovery.
