To our cherished community, our retail location is closing but our vision lives on. As you may know, we grand opened in March 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. As we continue to weather the lasting effects of the pandemic and economic hardship across the nation, we have not been able to reach a new long term agreement with our retail development, resulting in us having to close abruptly today, 5/19.
While this is not what we wanted, we welcome what the future may hold. Just last year, we had the opportunity to give a speech on how we are answering the call to wellness. The answer was to get beyond our four walls and continue to create beautiful spaces and look after our communities in the ways that matter most.
We will continue providing wellness services across the city with a special focus on the Kula Care Foundation and our vision for every family to be well.
Finally, we want to thank you for sharing space with us on this journey. Although this is a tough time for our business, we welcome the challenge and remain excited for what the future may hold.
