2025 stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.
I won scholarships that affirmed my hard work. I traveled a lot, new places, new cities, new perspectives. I met people who challenged my thinking and people who reminded me who I am. I leaned deeper into academic spaces, saying yes to opportunities that demanded more focus, discipline, and courage.

It wasn’t all easy. I battled depression. I was diagnosed with an illness that forced me to slow down and listen to my body. My weight changed from 213 lbs to 188 lbs and with it came lessons about health, vulnerability, and self-compassion.

Some days were heavy. Some nights were quiet. But through it all, I kept moving, learning, and showing up the best way I could.

This year taught me that growth isn’t always loud or pretty. Sometimes it looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like asking for help. Sometimes it looks like surviving and still choosing gratitude.
In all things, I am grateful for the wins, the lessons, the people, and the strength I didn’t know I had.

Here’s to carrying these lessons forward to 2026. 🌱
