Our residents had an absolutely festive time celebrating Fat Tuesday—also known as Mardi Gras—with an afternoon full of flavor, fellowship, and fun! The community came alive with the spirit of New Orleans as everyone indulged in delicious slices of traditional King Cake with all the trimmings, savory jubilee-style dirty rice, and a variety of awesome cocktails (and mocktails!) to toast the occasion. Laughter filled the room as residents enjoyed great food, vibrant décor, and even better company—proving once again that here at Dunwoody Place, we never miss an opportunity to celebrate culture, community, and joyful moments together. Our Dunwoody Place residents are officially back in stride again and enjoying one of their favorite pastimes—Fellowship & Sip! With laughter filling the room and great conversation flowing, residents gathered with their favorite friends to enjoy a relaxing time of togetherness, delicious bites, and a variety of beverages including wine and everyone’s favorite soda pop too! Moments like these continue to remind us how meaningful social connection, familiar faces, and shared experiences are to the overall happiness and emotional wellness of our community. At Dunwoody Place, National Carrot Cake Day was a sweet celebration filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of frosting! Residents gathered to enjoy moist slices of carrot cake topped with creamy icing while putting their knowledge to the test with some fun carrot cake trivia. The room buzzed with excitement as the “Gals vs. Guys” challenge got underway, with playful banter and big smiles all around. In the end, the ladies proudly claimed victory, earning bragging rights and a round of cheerful applause. It was a delightful afternoon where good dessert, great memories, and a little friendly rivalry brought everyone together for another joyful day in our community.

Guilty pleasures are meant to be enjoyed—and that’s exactly what happened when our residents were surprised with creamy, rich chocolate pudding as an unexpected treat! Smiles spread across the room as spoons dipped into the sweet dessert, bringing back fond memories of childhood kitchens and after-dinner delights. The smooth, velvety texture and chocolatey goodness created a moment of pure comfort, laughter, and conversation. Sometimes, it’s the simplest surprises that bring the greatest joy, and this delightful pudding break was a sweet reminder that little treats can make a very big difference in our day at Dunwoody Place.

Flaky, buttery smiles were everywhere at Dunwoody Place as residents and staff came together to celebrate National Croissant Day in the sweetest way possible! Warm, golden croissants were topped with delicious strawberry, lemon, chocolate, and cherry delights, creating a fun and flavorful experience that everyone could customize to their liking. Laughter filled the room as residents shared stories, sampled different combinations, and enjoyed this simple yet joyful treat alongside the Life Enrichment team. Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the pastries—it’s about the togetherness, the memories made, and the happiness shared around the table at Dunwoody Place….Special Thanks to our very Executive Director, Ms. Perry for outstanding breakfast croissants and Chef Anthony for an excellent variety for our residents. #

Every week at Dunwoody Place, our residents look forward to strength and conditioning sessions led by the incredible Physical Therapy team from Powerback. These engaging workouts are more than just exercise—they are moments of encouragement, laughter, and progress as residents build strength, improve balance, and stay active together. A very special thank you goes to Danielle, whose patience, energy, and expert instruction make each session both effective and enjoyable. Her ability to motivate and connect with our residents turns every class into a highlight of the week and a true celebration of healthy living at Dunwoody Place.
