Ideal Gynecology, LLC, is a practice dedicated to providing exceptional women's health care to patients from teenagers to post-menopausal women living in Atlanta and McDonough, Georgia. Lillian Schapiro, MD, Kathryn Garren, WHNP, Kristan Adams, MD, FACOG, and the team of women's health practitioners at Ideal Gynecology, LLC, recognize that patients have a choice about their health and wellness. They aim to provide women with all the information they need to make the right decision.

Ideal Gynecology, LLC, provides patients with the highest quality care through every stage of life. The providers diagnose and treat a wide range of women's health issues, including irregular periods, abnormal pap smears, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, human papillomavirus (HPV), menopause, pelvic floor health, infertility, and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). They perform routine screenings for problems like cervical and other cancers, as well as breast exams, follow-up services after an abnormal Pap smear, and feature in-office endometrial ablations for heavy periods. Birth control counseling is also available.

Advancements in technology are continually making new diagnostic and treatment options available. Ideal Gynecology, LLC, provides patients with the most current, up to date gynecologic care using a variety of techniques, from endometrial ablation and loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) to hysteroscopy, polypectomy, dilation and curettage (D&C), and ultrasound imaging. Young women can also benefit from having their first gynecological exam in warm and welcoming surroundings with knowledgeable, compassionate providers.

Every patient is different and we look forward to working with you as an individual. Many conditions, such as fibroids and heavy bleeding, used to require major surgery and several nights in the hospital. Today, we have much less invasive methods from medication to an IUD and, as a last resort, surgery. All of our practitioners can discuss these with you and, should you need a procedure , Dr. Schapiro is an expert in endometrial ablations as well as traditional and minimally invasive surgery including myomectomies and hysterectomies. A program that we are very proud of is our pelvic floor training program. Ideal Gynecology, LLC offers a comprehensive pelvic floor training program. Diet and exercise are the place to start. If you need more than you can do on your own at home, our strengthening program can be done 6 weeks post partum or any time when you feel incontinence is a problem for you.
