As the holidays approach, it’s a meaningful time to reflect on the challenges and triumphs of those living with Alzheimer’s—and the families who care for them. Earlier this month, our Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta team proudly joined the Alzheimer's Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, helping raise more than $5,000 to advance care, support, and research. With November recognized as National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, we remain committed to supporting residents, families, and communities impacted by this disease.

Guardian is proud to have Erin Marriott, RPh, BCGP, senior director of clinical and regulatory support, presenting at this year’s American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living annual Convention & Expo. Her session, Medication Optimization: The Good, Bad, and the Ugly, will take place Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. PDT. Erin will explore polypharmacy, prescribing cascades, deprescribing, and why true medication optimization is the best approach to deliver age-friendly, person-centered care. We look forward to her session and the valuable strategies attendees will gain to improve outcomes and support residents’ well-being.
