These simple practices help reconnect you with your breath, body, and surroundings - reminding your nervous system that you’re safe, even when life feels overwhelming.

Whether it’s taking slow breaths, feeling your feet on the floor, or stepping outside for fresh air, small moments of grounding can make a big difference.

The school season can bring excitement, pressure, and big emotions for kids - and parents too.
Supporting your child’s mental health doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts with connection, consistency, and compassion.

Small daily moments like asking about their day, creating space for rest, and modeling calm when things get hard help kids build emotional safety and resilience that last well beyond the school year.

If your child is struggling with anxiety, burnout, or adjustment challenges, therapy can help your family find support and balance.

When things feel overwhelming, it can help to pause and sort out what’s truly in your control and what isn’t.

You can’t control how others feel, perceive, or respond. But you can control how you speak to yourself, the boundaries you set, and the care you choose to give yourself.

Letting go of what’s outside your control doesn’t mean giving up, it means reclaiming your energy for the things that actually help you grow.

Panic attacks can feel unpredictable, overwhelming, and even frightening, but they’re not a sign that you’re broken or weak.

Your body is doing exactly what it’s designed to do under threat, even when that threat isn’t visible. Learning how to regulate, ground, and reconnect with your body can help you feel safer again over time.

If panic has been impacting your daily life, therapy can help you understand your nervous system, find calm, and reclaim a sense of control.

Strong relationships aren’t built by avoiding conflict, but by learning how to stay connected through it.

These 6 foundations are at the heart of meaningful connection in couples therapy - helping partners move from defensiveness to understanding, and from coexistence to growth.

If you and your partner are ready to deepen your connection, our couples therapists at Key Counseling are here to help.
