Georgia Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics The Georgia Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics is the largest organization of food & nutrition professionals in the state.

An affiliate of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (the Georgia Academy) is the largest organization of food and nutrition professionals in the state. The Georgia Academy is committed to improving the health of Georgians utilizing our members, the state’s leaders in nutrition and health. Over 1500 strong, the Georgia Academy members include registered and licensed dietitians, registered dietetic technicians and nutrition students and interns employed or interning in a variety of settings including hospitals and clinics, schools, public health and community agencies, business, academia, private practice and more. Our members are spread throughout Georgia – a network of health professionals ready to serve as resources to the public, media and public policy makers. This page was developed as a key communication tool for Georgia Academy members. It will help the Georgia Academy fulfill its mission and vision to empower members to be the state’s food and nutrition leaders and to optimize Georgian’s health through food and nutrition. This Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting the future of our profession. Students face significant challenges in affording education to join our profession.

You can make a difference by giving a tax-deductible gift to the Academy Foundation or Georgia Dietetic Foundation to support scholarships and stipends for students.

Supporting our local advocacy is also an important part of securing the future of our profession and protecting the public. Across Georgia, communities are facing new risks to nutrition security and public health due to recent cuts to key government programs.

As funding decreases, the impact will be felt by children, families, farmers, and healthcare providers statewide. Although they are not tax deductible, your contributions to support GAND PAC is greatly appreciated.
