A blind man doesn’t learn how to use a walking stick without support and practice. A deaf child doesn’t know how to use sign language without being supported and taught how to do so. An individual with apraxia doesn’t learn how to use their body more effectively without support, practice, and consistency. And not all parents and practitioners know how to successfully engage those with whole body apraxia in movement.

But have no fear, we’re here to help!

Our programs were designed to help you and your children jump in and get moving. Creating habits and routines around movement activities, and exercise takes time and discipline. If you don’t know where to get started, these programs will guide you through the process. It’s up to you to make it happen, but let our programs support your process and take some of pressure off figuring out where to start and what to do.

Check out our latest video library! It was designed to help parents, caregivers and practitioners with what, how and why we engage the body in different ways.

Those with whole body apraxia have difficulty with organized, purposeful, and meaningful movement patterns. We need to support them by giving them lots of opportunities to practice, moving their body in a variety of ways.

Let’s be honest, coaching those with sensory motor and movement differences is rarely easy at first. Most of my work is figuring out how to support the athlete by breaking down the activity to successful bits that they can practice, and then gauging when they are ready to increase the challenge ever so slightly.

By using tools like visual targets, prompts, and modeling we can help our children, adults and clients develop more tolerance and endurance with movement in novel and fun ways.

Sometimes we need to see it in action so we can figure out where to start and what to do. Some of these videos are exercises, some are activities or games you can integrate and others are sports related.

These volumes were created to give you bits of information that you can begin to incorporate in your home or clinic. Start slow, use repetition and practice consistently. See if you can start to master the 10 movements in volume one, and then move on to volume 2!
