Mental Health America of Georgia MHA of Georgia’s mission is to enhance the mental health and wellness of Georgians through education, outreach and advocacy.

At MHA of Georgia, we envision a day when all Georgians will have access to culturally competent and appropriate mental health services for and information on prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery. Our programs emphasize positive mental health throughout the lifespan and for all people – regardless of age, diagnosis, or background. MHA of Georgia brings together mental health consumers, parents, advocates, and service providers for collaboration and action. It is important to maintain a healthy balance between work, home, school, and personal life to improve work performance and personal relationships. While work can be stressful, it is important to advocate and maintain your mental wellness within the workplace. In this Mental Health in the Workplace workshop, you will learn appropriate coping tools to practice self-care and maintain work-life balance, how to locate resources within your workplace and in the community to promote positive mental health, and how to appropriately advocate for yourself within the work culture.

Although overdose deaths in the US decreased significantly in 2024, opioid overdose is still a leading cause of preventable death. In a new report, Mental Health America analyzed national data to find out what states are doing to prevent OD deaths - and how they can do better. Read more here:

Mental Health America believes that data is a critical tool for policy change. This report details state-level data and recommendations for action across the continuum of services and supports for opioid use, including prevention, treatment, and recovery.
